The books foward is written by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete, whose workings knowledge of Mwanawasa started from the time he was Foreign Minister, to the Times he was elected his country's President. It is edited by Zambia's own eminet son, Professor Fackson Banda, of Rhodes University in South Africa. The author takes the reader through Mwanawasa's life as a School boy, his being victim of a tragic fire accident as a child in Sub A, his education, marriages, law practice, his faith , the road accident which nealry killed him when he was Vice President, and right through to Levy Mwanawasa as President of the Republic of Zambia, until his passing, and to the finale of a chilling voice from the grave; an emotional account of a pre-recorded will to the Nation made by the Late President.

About the Authors
Amos Malupenga is the Managing Editor of Zambia’s leading newspaper, The Post. He has practised as a journalist for 13 years, 12 of which have been spent at The Post, where he has risen through the ranks. In his career, Amos has extensively covered all the major political and economical players in the country ranging from politics, to their family and personal lives. He has had the opportunity to get up close and personal with Zambia’s second President Frederick Chiluba, his wife Regina and ex-wife Vera, and his successor Levy Mwanawasa with wife Maureen, at least in as far as published works are concerned. Amos was born and lived in Mufulira until the early 1990s when he moved to Lusaka to start his journalism career. His fi rst practice in 1996 was with The Chronicle, an independent weekly tabloid that is now defunct. In 1997, he joined The Post as a junior reporter. A year later, he became senior reporter. Shortly after that, he was promoted to positions of Deputy News Editor, News Editor and Executive Editor until 2005 when he was elevated to the current position. This is his fi rst book.
